Something that both the military policy and cultural sections of discussions have in common is that they funnel into one main topic of discussion. The culture of southern Arizona changed because of the massive amounts of people flooding into the territory seeking new prosperity the growth can be seen in the map of Tucson’s expansion. The influx of these Anglos from the east and the north was due in part to the military policy instituted toward the Indians. Once the Indians were suppressed and safe in the eyes of the Anglos they felt that it was the time to bring their family west and seize the opportunity of the economic situation in southern Arizona.
One thing is certain about the Anglos coming into the territory of Arizona and that is the economic prosperity that was seen across the board. Though there was a uneven labor distribution as discussed in the culture portion the general population of Arizona saw growth and prosperity thanks to new investment and innovation brought by the Anglos in one industry in particular, the cattle business.
